Baseball is for boys and girls ages 5 through 18. The season runs from the end of March through June, with play-offs in July.
We always need adults and older youth (min. 16 years of age) to serve as umpires for the season. A free clinic is offered to those who wish to participate as umpires.
For more information, or general questions regarding baseball or Field Day, please contact the Baseball Coordinator, Ron Miller at rrm.ashbylaw@verizon.net.

2008 Fee Increase
UMYA has worked hard over
the years to maintain a balance between lower fees and safe, well maintained
equipment.
The costs of all our programs
have risen in the past couple of years. We have also added to the number
of teams we support due to a continued increase in the number of participants
in our organization. Baseball and softball are sports that require a significant
amount of equipment. In addition, we pay for league fees, insurance costs,
field maintenance, umpires, coach’s clinics and uniforms, all items
that have gone up in cost. Last year we ran a deficit for both sports. We
are a self supporting organization and, because of this, have undergone a
review of our sports fees, specifically baseball/softball. We have never
asked our families to raise money through fundraising projects, and as a
board we decided to continue this policy. For these reasons, we will be raising
our baseball and softball fee to $60 per child and our t-ball and pixie softball
fee to $35 per child. We appreciate your understanding and support and look
forward to another successful season.
Also, Upper Milford, along with Emmaus and Macungie, is sponsoring four Travel Softball teams, age groups 10U, 12U, 14U, and 16U. The cost is $70. Contact Joe Fritzinger, 610-967-6587 goyanks@ptd.net
